Some basic IQ test must be conducted before one can vote

Considering the kind of crap leaders (the Congress, the Left, the AIADMK, Laloo, Mulayam, etc.) we choose, I think before getting a voter ID card it should be mandatory to go through a short, basic “test of reasoning”. I don’t know how it can be possible, but there is some way to make out whether a person can/should vote or not. It will take some time, maybe 5-10 years, but once this process is in motion we’ll have a better democracy. With computers it will be possible.
The test doesn’t have to be education based, as education is no benchmark for intelligence and logic. Psychologists, sociologists, educationists and experts from diverse fields should sit together and device an evaluation system, and I’m sure it is possible to do that. It’s like, when you go to get your voter ID card, you have to punch in a few answers according to your level of literacy. The questions should be formed in such a manner that the computer can immediately tell how a person thinks in terms of the country, its politics, his or her society and family, the international affairs, the past and the future of the country. He or she should only be issued a voter ID card if he or she satisfies a certain criteria.
I know at the outset this system may seem discriminatory, and even derogatory, but actually it is not. I think democracy is a serious issue, and we have made a mockery of it. Such a test will make the general public more aware and we’ll realize elections don’t just mean causing mayhem on the streets and casting votes merely for liquor and biscuit packets or sarees. Even if once in five years, we’ll be forced to think about the country.

Here in Philippines, some people in villages don’t care about wise voting as long as they got paid by some corrupted candidates. It’s sad to say that nobody can stop vote buying here in our country, specially there are lots of uneducated people because of low opportunity done by the corruption of our government.
But the worst thing here is the officials in the COMELEC are the root of cheating the election. Those money hunger bastards don’t even have the brain to think what will happen as long as they have money.

I know, this is scary. The lust for money turns people stupid, really.
