Our universe is a part of something bigger

I wonder why it comes as a surprise to physicists and scientists that our universe is a part of something like a "multiverse". A new study has revealed that there are some unknown matters that are continuously tugging at our known universe.  There is an expression that exists in Sikh Scriptures that says:

Lakh akaashan akaash
Lakh patalan pataal

Which means there are millions (countless) of skies above and millions of sky beneath.  Sky means the universe: akaash is something that exists overhead and pataal is something that exists beneath the earth we walk upon.

Besides, the universe has to be somewhere no matter how big it is.  There is always something bigger.

  1. Is Amrit actually quoting Gurbani?

The enormity of our universe boggles the mind. The concept of this megauniverse of which our universe is a part or which exists completely apart from our universe bogboggles the mind. And that is just a tiny beginning.

–This is the sort of stuff that I think about during those long, sleepness nights. I have been doing this since my introduction to astronomy and science fiction in childhood.–

Let us add in the three aspects/dimensions of time (past, present, future), to – maybe – complete our particular spacetime continuum.

Let us consider a megaspacetime continuum of a minimum of six dimensions…

    I LOVE IT!!!
